GILLMANN WOWW!! This is so cool! I love these puppets, you did a great job creating and puppeteering them! I'm wondering how you made/used them. I'm guessing the eyes are locked looking forward and the eye darts added in post? Great work on those they feel very alive. Do the arms have sticks behind them or smth that get removed in post? The movment is so solid I couldn't really tell!

eye darts are post yes! almost everything else is done in-camera! i am just dressed in all black with a black backdrop- doing most things in cam and live was part of my mission with this short!
the arms have two alternate ways of being puppeteered, one is from the inside and the other using rods. most of this was done using the inside method, all except for when gillmann gets the coin out!
I draw and animate. I like 2D Rigged animation and work mainly in Toonboom Harmony.
